Temperature control is critically important to the overall injection molding process, especially when using hot runner systems. It affects all molding variables — flow, pressure, time and of course temperature. Unlike modular controls where zones are looked at individually, Fast Heat “Integrated” Hot Runner Temperature Controls manage all zones as a complete system. Customers benefit with improved reliability, energy savings and ease of use.
Fast Heat offers the first and only integrated control with energy management, sensor protection and a continuous tuning control algorithm. We surround these innovative technologies with an easy-to-use control interface, a modular cabinet design and all of the advanced features you would expect from a high-end controller, including recipe storage, automatic startup, zone slaving, diagnostics, I/O communications and much more.
Benefits include:
Process Consistency
- Precise and repeatable temperature control with constant tuning PID and Waterfall Technology
- More forgiving of material and environmental variations
- Faster tool changes with less process
Reduced Downtime
- Predict heater failure
- Detect leakage
- Protect thermocouples and control modules with ATP (Active Thermocouple Protection)
Tooling Protection
- Automatically “bake out” moisture, sequentially “even-soak” by group and “soft-soak” to prevent cold shooting
Energy Efficiency
- All zones are managed as a system with “Waterfall Technology.” This reduces peak demand electrical consumption.
- Sequential grouped startup reduces peak amp draw during critical startup periods.
- Max Power limits power consumption to meet availability.
Ease of Use
- Five-minute learning curve
- Auto diagnostics provide real-time t/c, heater, temp, amp and power condition by zone
- “Easy-Cal” shop floor calibration to NIST
- Quick access to modular components
Customization
- Add Volt / Ohm option to supplement standard Amp reading
- Add discrete I/O connections for four outputs on all alarms and “At-Temp” signal and four inputs for Run, Stop, Boost and Idle
- Add SPI communication protocol
- Add mobile racks, transformers, remote display kit, special cable systems, etc.
- See our application summaries to learn more about how we have tailored the Pulse® for specific requirements.

Choose a cabinet by the number of zones required. For example, a 24-zone application would use a P24 if Basic features are required. If advanced features are required, you would choose a P30 cabinet and fill it with 12 dual-zone modules. The extra cabinet space is fully wired so additional modules can be added in the future.
